Whether or not one conceives herself as an artist, we consider her as an artist and compose an artist's book for her, which is meant to be expressive in a singular way. So far, we've worked with text-based writers usually, but we have versatile interests in various fields of potential art which include image, research & theory, or any other things that can be realized in a book.
Liebe는 2022년 8월 9일부터 2023년 6월 30일까지 나하늘이 독일의 베를린에서 체류하며 쓴 세 편의 자전적 소설을 엮은 것이다. 작가는 베를린에서 거주한 11개월간 총 47.5켤레의 버려진 신발을 사진으로 기록했다. 6월 25일 마지막으로 Schönhauser Allee 역 근처의 창틀에서 초록색 스프레이가 뿌려진 어린이용 부츠를 발견했고, 이것을 다회용 장바구니에 담아 한국에 가져왔다.
표제인 die Liebe는 ‘사랑’을 뜻하는 독일어 단어이다. 사랑에 관한 5900자에 달하는 이야기를 쓴 뒤 문장부호만 남기고 지웠다. 이방인으로 살았던 지난 일 년은 오직 겨울로 기억된다. 버려진 신발 앞에 오래 멈춰섰던 것은 내가 문을 열고 방으로 들어갈 때 신발을 벗는 문화권에서 왔기 때문인지도 모르겠다.
